As most of you know, I have a disease called Neurofibromatosis Type II. This is a genetic disorder and while not in itself terminal causes many tumours that may have debilitating effects.
Their currently is no cure, the disease is basically managed as problems arise. To give an idea, in the last 14 years I've had 5 brain surgeries, some other miscellaneous surgeries and am undergoing another treatment now. And I'm a less severe case.

Denise Terril Charity Classics is a volunteer organization formed to help fund Neurofibromatosis II research and treatment towards a cure. The goal this year is $90,000. Every little bit of support helps.

Their Tennis Classic is coming up in a few weeks and in addition to it, they're holding two raffles. The Grand Slam Raffle and Regular Raffle.

The tickets for the Grand Slam are $25 and the Regular Raffle are 6 for $25. The drawing is Sunday August 12 at noon. You need not be present to win.

You can buy raffle tickets online through the Texas Neurofibromatosis Foundation at https://secure.groundspring.org/dn/index.php?aid=17905

Apparently ,about half of the roughly 500 locations serve beer, according to the article. Obviously, it isn't heavily promoted and the amount you can drink is limited to two cups per person. The piece quotes a Chuck E. Cheese spokesperson as saying "It's just another way to keep everybody happy."

From an Amazon Review:

"The other detail that Toro doesn't make obvious is the fact that this should be used on PAVED driveways and walks only. I live in a rural area with neither, and this Toro regularly picks up a rock or pine cone and hurls it 20-40 feet! That little trick has only broken one window (so far)."

I was doing some product research and one of the magazines I needed had an e-edition. So I downloaded the special reader (not PDF, DRM and all that). I noticed on their site that they offered other magazines that have e-editions through them.

One of them was Playboy. Guess for the guys who really do read it for the articles.
